MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) received an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017. Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album climbed to number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he was in a duet with TINI for her viral stream single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are each musicians. In interviews, he described his participation in music as compulsory. When he was young, he taught how to perform on the guitar, piano and the ukulele. The first choice for his career was to be a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with a Cuban teacher. What happened was that he found his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
