Christopher Robert Evans, born June 13, 1981, is an American actress. His career began with television parts, which included Opposite Sext, which he portrayed in 2000. Following appearances in several teen films including 2001's Not Another Teen Movie he gained attention for his portrayal of Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans was featured in a variety of films based on comics and graphic novels like TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). In addition to his role as Captain America/Steve Rogers Evans was recognized for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) and Captain America: Civil War. The work he did on the Marvel series helped establish him as one of the world's highest-paid actors.
